Cornelia (Connie) Weber Monson, 81, Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND went peacefully to be with our Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2008 . Connie fought a courageous battle with Alzheimers while surrounded and cared for by her family. Through all of her struggles she always wore a smile and would express her appreciation for her family by saying ?I love you?. Connie was born on April 19, 1926 in St Anthony, ND to John and Bridgette Weber. They eventually resided in Mandan, ND and at the age of 16 Connie left Mandan to take care of her Uncle Lawrence Welk?s children while her Aunt Fern Welk was recuperating from an injury. She attended beauty school in Fort Worth, Texas until February of 1950. Connie then continued working as a beautician at Vivians in Fargo. Connie met Larry Monson in Bartlesville, OK and they were married in Bartlesville on December 30, 1950. They spent most of their married years living in Fargo with their 5 children. Her most enjoyable things in life were her family and her crafts which included painting, knitting, and sewing.
