David Miranda, aged 55, passed away on Friday July 12th 2019 surrounded by his immediate family. David was born in Plainview, TX on September 8th 1963 to Dionicio Miranda Jr. and Amelia De Leon. Raised in Asherton, TX David was a proud Trojan. As manager of his high school baseball team, he took great pride in the sport. He was the best short-stop the Trojan’s coaches had ever seen. After graduating, he married Otila Vallejo on October 10th 1982 and together had two children, David Miranda Jr. and Diana Cecilia Miranda. Making Minnesota home in the early nineties, he was able to earn a degree in Sales and Management while working full time to provide for his family. In 1996 he moved to Eagle Pass, TX for 11 years until his return to Minnesota in 2007. He could be found every weekend after that at the Shady Hollow Flea Market helping his father with their progressing wrought iron business endeavor until his passing when he decided to continue on. Aside from the flea market ambiance, his greatest joys on this earth were his grandchildren, his babies. David is survived by his wife Otila/Moorhead, his son David Jr(Yesenia)/Glyndon, daughter Diana/Moorhead, mother Amelia Miranda/Moorhead, brother Daniel Miranda/Moorhead, brother Pablo Miranda/Moorhead, sister Cristina Gallagher/Lake Park, sister Lucia Sanchez/Moorhead, sister Linda Cruz/West Fargo, grandchildren Makayla, Zoey, Briah and David Nathaniel. He is preceded in death by his father Dionicio Miranda, and uncles who were like his brothers Arturo De Leon, Valentin Miranda, Jose “Kote” Miranda.
