David Nelson

David L. Nelson, 54 of Fargo, died Sunday, August 26, 2007 in his home. David was born on December 8, 1952 in Fargo to Emil and Mildred (Johnson) Nelson. He graduated from Fargo South High School in 1971 where he excelled in hockey and golf. He attended Odessa Junior College in Odessa, Texas where he was also active in golf. After college he lived in Florida, Arizona and California before moving back to Fargo. He also had a passion for running. The loves of his life were his 2 nieces, Matti and Ali and his nephew, Ross. He enjoyed watching them grow and following their own golf careers. David loved sports, especially the Vikings, Twins and Timberwolves and could carry on a conversation with anyone regarding sports. He was preceded in death by his father, Emil. David is survived by his mother, Millie of Moorhead; brother, Russ (Barb) of Moorhead; sister, Maureen Wilhelm of Onalaska, WI; nieces, Matti and Ali Nelson and his nephew, Ross Wilhelm. Memorial Service: Wednesday, August 29 at 1:00 pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Moorhead. Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
