David “Wayne” Soyring, 56, of Moorhead, Minnnesota, passed away peacefully April 10, 2020 at Hospice House located within Sanford Medical Center.
Wayne was born in Portsmouth, VA on March 22, 1964 to David and Yvonne Soyring. Their family moved to Minnesota when Wayne was a young child. He graduated from Waubun High school in 1982, joined the US Air Force and was honorably discharged due to medical reasons. Wayne went on to marry his high school sweetheart, Nancy Eiynck on December 9, 1982. They made their home in Moorhead, MN where they raised six wonderful daughters. Wayne and Nancy are members of Saint Joesph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead, MN.
Wayne loved life and his family. He had a servant heart and loved to make others laugh. He was witty and loved to tease. Wayne enjoyed hunting, teaching others about wildlife and nature, and car rides. He loved telling stories, fixing things, and music. He spent many, many weekends camping with good friends from near and far. He enjoyed playing softball in his younger years. Wayne also loved coaching his daughters’ basketball teams.
Wayne worked for Sherwin Williams most of his career. He was a store manager and took great pride in his customer service and the relationships he built with people. He enjoyed teaching new employees and encouraging them to build relationships by going above and beyond. He was very proud of his career and the company he worked for.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 37 years Nancy and their daughters Randi Hanson, Katie (Grant) Gauthier, Shylinn Soyring, Toby Soyring, Michelle Soyring and Sandra Soyring. Three Grandchildren Briggs, Merit, and Hayes Hanson. His brother Arnold Soyring and sister Teresa Soyring. Nieces, nephews, cousins, and long-time friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother Joseph Holt.
A private family service was held Monday, April 13, 2020 at Boulger Funeral Home.
There will be a funeral service to celebrate Wayne’s life at St. Joesph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead, Mn when it is safe for us all to be together.
