Obituary

Debra R. Greendahl, 60, Fargo passed away peacefully Sunday, February 16, 2015 at the Palliative Care Unit of Sanford Health, Fargo surrounded by her family.

Debra was born January 1, 1955 to William and Marlys (Hanson) Greendahl in Crookston, Minnesota. She lived at home with her mom until she moved to Bethesda Lutheran Home, Watertown, WI in 1968. She lived there until she moved to Grand Forks to live in a group home. In 2003 she moved to Fargo and lived in Fraser Supportive Living until she passed.

Debra especially loved when her mom came to visit. She liked spending time with her friends and family and always gave them warm hugs. She also let them know when she did not want something by tapping her hand on the table several times. She loved to roll dice with her housemates and even started a dice club. She enjoyed her music boxes and flipping through magazines.

Debbie was a blessing to all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her mother, Marlys, Fargo, ND; sisters, Stacy (Michael) Welsh, Grand Forks, ND, Tricia (Paul) Asche, Fargo, ND; nieces and nephews, Brandon, Brody, Piper, Payton, Hudson, great-nieces and nephews, Bradin, Arista, Masiah and Leo.

She was preceded in death by her father, William and nephew, Patrick.

Debbie’s family wishes to thank the caring staff of Fraser Supportive Living for their loving care over the years.
