Delores Marie Kuppich Smith Delores Marie Kuppich Smith, 75, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, formerly of Fargo, died peacefully Monday in Fayetteville. Delores was born June 15, 1931, in Fargo to John and Erma (Moritz) Kuppich. She received her primary schooling in Fargo and received her degree in Education from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, MN. In 1951, Delores married John Smith of Cando, ND. In Cando, Delores taught elementary school before relocating to Boulder, Colorado, where she worked for the Boulder School District. Delores and John moved back to Fargo in 1979, where Delores worked for a local television station. Delores moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1997 and continued her work with children by doing volunteer work at a local elementary school. She is survived by four children: Marc (and Jayne) Smith of Wheatridge, CO; Tom (and Julie) Smith of Salem, OR; Mary (and Chuck) Smario of Erie, CO; Connie (and Sean) Doyle of Fayetteville, AR; seven grandchildren; and a brother Jack Kuppich of Belgrade, MN. She was preceded in death by both parents. Her husband, John, died in February 1996. A prayer service will be held Monday, August 14, 2006 at 11 a.m. in Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
