Dennis Asleson
February 27, 1943 ~ November 28, 2014
Dennis A. Asleson, 71, Fargo passed away Friday, November 28, 2014 in his home after a long battle with lung cancer.
Dennis was born February 27, 1943 in Anamoose, ND to Adolph and Ruth (Berg) Asleson. His family moved to Fargo in 1945 where Dennis attended Woodrow Wilson and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1961. He went on to receive his vocational certification in plumbing from Wahpeton State School of Science. He married Marlene Sauvageau on July 8, 1967 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Wild Rice. He worked for Robert Gibb & Sons, retiring in 2005.
Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and having coffee with his brother Maynard and brother-in-law, Tom. He also enjoyed watching sports and was a classic car enthusiast.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marlene; children, Cory (Cheryl), Logan, UT, Kevin (Tracie), Honolulu, HI, Jason, Park City, UT, grandchildren, Jared, Honolulu, HI, Joshua, Honolulu, HI; brothers, Maynard, Mapleton, ND, Duane Allison, New Brighton, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Lorraine, Chuck, Don and Robert.
