Dennis Christofferson

Dennis Jerome Christofferson, 2431 South 9th Street, Fargo, ND, passed away Monday, December 19, 2005 in Mesa, AZ at the age of 64. Dennis was born April 24, 1941 at Devils Lake, ND to Elwood and Berna Christofferson. He attended school at Tolna, ND graduating in 1959. Dennis graduated from Valley City State College in 1962 with majors in English and P.E. Dennis married Judy Hand June 4, 1962 at Tolna, ND. He taught English and coached basketball at McLaughlin, SD, Belview, MN, and Sherburn, MN. It was at Sherburn that his 1970 team was state champs. Dennis joined Dawson Hail Insurance Company in 1980 and moved with his family to Fargo. In 1998 Dennis formed his own crop insurance company, Ag Force, which he sold when retiring in 2001. Dennis and Judy spent their winters in Mesa and summers in Fargo. Dennis was an avid golfer in his retirement, and loved spending time with his 4 grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his wife, Judy; his son, Curt (Jolene), Napoleon, ND; daughters, Sue (Steve) Frelich, Madelia, MN, and Katie Hesch, Gilbert, AZ. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Emily and Abby Christofferson, and Noah and Judith Frelich. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Neil and Jerry; an infant son; and granddaughter, Amy Christofferson. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
