Dennis McFarlen

Dennis Lee McFarlen, 65, Fargo, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 in his home under the care of Hospice surrounded by his family and friends. Dennis Lee McFarlen was born April 5, 1942 in Fargo, ND, the son of William and Lela (Suhumski) McFarlen. He graduated from Fargo Central High School. After graduation, he joined the Air Force and served in Korea from February 1960 to November 1963. After his service, he returned to Fargo. He married Louisa Marie Piechowski on September 17, 1982 in Lindenwood Park, Fargo, ND. The couple lived in Fargo. He worked for Pittsburg Paints as a salesman for 10 years. He then worked in maintenance at the Federal Building and Concordia College Maintenance Department from 1986-2003. Dennis loved motorcycling and fishing, and was an avid collector of many things, especially hot wheel cars. He was a devoted husband and father. He was a grateful friend of Bill W. for the past 28 years and carried his message to all those in need. He is survived by his wife, Louisa; his children, Tammy Lee (James) Onstad, Tamarack, MN, Teresa Jayne Boyd (Tom), McGregor, MN, Teri Ann Lundy (Darron), Coon Rapids, MN, Jerome (Stacy) Piechowski, Fargo, ND, Derek Adam McFarlen, Fargo, ND; 13 grandchildren; his brother, Bob Davis (Carol) Fargo, ND; and his sister, Betty Schobinger, West Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Dean and Arlo Davis, and his sister, Lorraine Scott. Visitation: 5-7 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2007 ?
