Dolores ?Dee? Robinson died peacefully in Chandler, Arizona under the care of Hospice on April 11, 2006. Dolores Marie was born to Valerie and Joseph Houska on August 26, 1930 on their family farm near Grafton, ND. She grew up on this farmstead with her sisters and brother and graduated from Grafton High School as Valedictorian in 1948. She met Phillip Robinson and they were married on October 4, 1950. She and Phillip lived in Grafton, Fargo and West Fargo, where they raised five daughters and one son. During this time, Dee was employed by NDSU, Bristol?s Distributing and S/S Electronics as an administrative assistant until her retirement in 1985. At that time, she and Phil moved to Sun Lakes, AZ where she enjoyed walking, gardening, traveling with her husband and a special love for hummingbirds. One of her greatest joys was her work as a volunteer at Chandler Hospital and as an usher in St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Chandler, each for 14 years. Phillip died on July 7, 1990. Dee loved to spend time with her 8 granddaughters, 1 great grandson, 6 step granddaughters, their spouses and 17 step great grandchildren, all of whom knew her as ?Grandma Dee?. She will always be remembered for the kindness, gentleness and quiet advice she gave her children. Her subtle sense of humor could put anyone she met at ease.
