Donald Lothspeich

Donald N. Lothspeich, 81 of Fargo died Friday, May 2, 2008 at Innovis Health in Fargo. Donald was born on January 17, 1927 in Wales, ND to Edward and Rose (Dirkes) Lothspeich. He graduated from Wales High School and then served on a troop transport ship from 1945-1946 and also served in the Army from 1950-1952. Donald married Dolores Rapske on January 24, 1953. Dolores died on September 3, 1986. Donald worked for Peavey Lumber and Simonson Lumber, retiring from Simonson in 1987. He was a member of the American Legion, life member of the VFW and a life member of Knights of Columbus. Don and Dolores took care of many foster children and spent their summers at their lake home on Bijou Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; brothers, Eugene, Harold, Gerold and Leon; sisters-in-law, Marian Lothspeich, Patricia Lothspeich and Marie Lothspeich. Don is survived by his children, Cynthia (Paul) Seado of Bismarck, ND, Vicki (Robert) Long of Fergus Falls, MN, Michael (Sue) Lothspeich of Fargo, Jeffrey (Patricia) Lothspeich of Fargo, Alan (Donna) Lothspeich of Fargo; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward (Irene) Lothspeich of Dickinson, ND, Lyle (Iris) Lothspeich of Langdon, ND, Marlin Lothspeich of Park River, ND, Franklin (Mary) Lothspeich of Franklin Lake, MN; sister, Ann (Larry) Hagen of Williston, ND and sister-in-law, Rosemary Lothspeich. Visitation: Tuesday, May 6 from 5-7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to Mass in the church on Wednesday. Prayer Service: Tuesday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass: Wednesday, May 7 at 2:30 pm at Church of the Nativity, Fargo. Interment: Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
