Doris Joyce Beverly Beede Willkom, 92, died peacefully in her sleep at Bethany on University on Monday, June 6, 2011.
Doris was born on August 16, 1918 in Crookston, MN. She worked at Standard Oil as a Contometer Operator and during the war worked at the Fairmont Creamery. She worked at Dakota Hospital until she retired.
She leaves a son, William Willkom; sister, Shirley (Ed) Hoggarth; nephew, Terry Hoggarth, Moorhead, MN; niece, Debbie, CO; grand niece, Tammy (Tony), King, CO; nephew, Ron (Chris) Beede, Fargo; nieces, Michelle and Stacey; niece, Anna (Bernie) Jindra, OH; grand niece, Jennifer, OH; nephew, Bobby, OH; 2 nephews, Joey and Michael, OH.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John.

My deepest sympathy to Doris’ family. I am very thankful that I was fortunate enough to be able to care for Doris while I was employed at Bethany. She made me smile a lot. What a classy lady! I’m sure that her family has many good memories of Doris. God Bless her memory.

My name is Bev Roehrich Wenthin. Doris and her sisters babysat my brother, Leonard, and me when we were very small.
I still have a picture that my Mom, Kathryn, says is Doris and Len and Me standing outside our home at 405 5th Avenue north, (no longer there) across from the depot.
My Mom and Dad often talked fondly of the Beede family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all her family.
