Mamie, John, and Jerome–my heart goes out to you on the loss of your mother–one of the dearest, kindest and most generous women I have ever known. When Marty and Dan heard the news, they got together on Skype and talked about your mother and her Lebanese flat bread with peanut butter and the time she spent with them making them feel welcome in her home–and always loved. I will be forever grateful to your mother for raising my sons (and they’re pretty grateful too–) Mrs. Ell was a gift to so many of us–and I know that YOU know how blessed you are to be able to call her Mother.

My sincere sympathy on the loss of your dear mother, Dorothy. I just loved her! She would come to the clinic with warm frosted cookies and we would savor every bite! I had many wonderful conversations with her. You were lucky to have such a nice, caring mother!
