Douglas Moran

Douglas C. Moran, 71, Fargo, ND died Sunday in MeritCare Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, Fargo. Douglas Cole Moran, the son of Fred and Dorothy (Cole) Moran, was born February 19, 1937 in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High. Douglas attended Dakota Business College in Fargo. Douglas married Beverly Savageau on September 24, 1955 in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fargo. The couple made their home in Fargo. He worked as a warehouseman for Dakota Paper. Douglas began working for the U.S. Postal Service in 1965 as a letter carrier. He retired after 31 years on the job in 1996. Douglas enjoyed working around his yard, trips to Hankinson and playing bingo. Survivors: wife, Beverly Moran; a daughter, Dawn (Bryce) McGillis; two sisters, Kathy Morrison and Gerri (Lloyd) Bauske; three grandchildren, Bryce McGillis, III, Jeremy McGillis and Billie Jo Kasin; three great grandchildren, Morgan, Alex and Conner Kasin. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Cuhna. Services: Visitation will be Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 5 to 7 pm in the Boulger Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 10 am at Boulger Funeral Home. Burial St. Benedict?s Cemetery, Wild Rice, ND.
