I moved to LA area in Oct. 1969 with Duane, Albert D. and Larry B. We roomed together for a few years and Duane worked with me at Toys “R” Us in Van Nuys for a short time.

We all had good times together enjoying CA., the weather, swimming pool and the beach.

I did enjoy seeing Duane and most of the family at the reunion in Rugby ND
    a few years ago.

I had planned on attending the funeral, but had car trouble this morning.

Sincere condolences to the family for
    your loss. Peter

We worked with Duane at WalMart. He always had a great big smile and some sort of encouraging words for those rough days when you didn’t really want to be there. He will be missed.

  8. CRUZ says:

DUANE served Honorably as a CWT worker at the Fargo VA Medical Center in the E&MMS dept prior to his employment with the Walmart Corporation. He took pride in his assignments and did his best always promptly requesting another task soonest he had completed the previous assignment.
As a Vet, no one understood more the importance of taking care of Vets than Duane, he did what he could without hesitation and for all the reasons that matter.
Those of us that worked with and knew Duane, liked and cared about him a lot. We were priviledged to witness his genuine smile and bear witness to an occasional joke.

Duane-“Take care Buddy, It will take me a while to make sense of it all, we are ALL at a loss”…Cruz
