Earl Otto Buth, age 81, 1321 14th Avenue East, Apt. 15, West Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 in Innovis Hospital, Fargo of complications following heart surgery. He died one day after celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary.
Earl Otto Buth was born December 26, 1921 on a farm near Sabin, MN to Theodore and Minnie (Kumm) Buth. Earl returned to Sabin after 3 ? years in the Army Engineers, serving in the South Pacific. Earl and Loyola ?Peg? (Kowalski) were married June 9, 1949 in Moorhead, MN.
Earl worked on his parents? farm, then worked for Armour Company, then worked for Gamble Robinson, now Food Service of America, for 38 years. After retirement, they moved to Pelican Lake and spent winters in Mesa, AZ.
Earl?s special interests were flowers, hobby farm animals, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Peg, at home; his son Steven, Rochert, MN, daughter, Caryl (Dennis) Hansen, West Fargo, ND, grandsons, Jamie (Karla) Hansen, Todd (Canda) Hansen; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Harold (Marge), Bismarck, ND, Donald (Bev), Moorhead, MN; sisters, Roslyn Cossette, Moorhead, MN, Lola (Bud) Fritz, Fargo, ND; many nieces and nephews.
