Habiger, Earl Edward 7.26.07 Earl Edward Habiger died on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at St. Catherine?s Nursing Home in Wahpeton, ND. Earl Habiger was born on April 25, 1931 to Leo and Agnes (Fiebiger) Habiger in Jesse, ND. He graduated from Enderlin High School. He farmed with his father until the late 1960?s when his father retired. Earl married Phyllis Miller on November 25, 1960 at St. Henry?s Catholic Church in Alice, ND. They continued farming until 1975 and then began driving school bus for Enderlin Public Schools. He also drove gravel truck for Camas Sand and Gravel, Embden, ND for a few years. He retired in 1993. They moved to Fargo, ND in 1997. Phyllis died in 1997. After her death he moved to Wahpeton, and Enderlin, ND, finally settling in Buffalo, ND. Earl was one of the founding members of the Alice Wildlife Club and a member of the Alice Fire Department. He was a Clifton Township Board Member and Tax Assessor for many years. He was a member of the Valley City Eagles. Earl loved to play pinochle and participated in many tournaments. He also enjoyed playing bingo. Earl is survived by his children: Jane Habiger (Paul Flynn), Chicago, IL, Gerald Habiger (Susan) Aberdeen, MD, Gene Habiger (Meldy) Wahpeton, ND; seven grandchildren: Coleman Tull, Austin Tull, Gage Habiger, Hunter Habiger, all of Aberdeen ,MD, and Chelsie Habiger, Christa Habiger, Dalton Habiger, all of Wahpeton, ND. He is preceded by his parents and his wife, Phyllis. Visitation: Sunday, July 29, 2007 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral: Monday, July 30, 2007 at 10:30 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Buffalo, ND. Burial: Alice Community Cemetery following the service. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND.
