Eileen Ann (Enger) Fischer, 75, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009 at Meritcare Palliative Care in Fargo.
Eileen was born to Ervin and Emerald (Sather) Enger in Drake, North Dakota on October 31, 1933. She lived in Roseau and Lengby Minnesota before coming to Fargo in the 1940s. Eileen attended Woodrow Wilson School and graduated Fargo Central High School. Eileen Enger and Lawrence (Larry) Fischer were married at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo on July 18, 1953. Eileen worked at Northwestern Bell for 8 years before working as a Tupperware and Shaklee dealer for 10 years. Eileen then worked in telemarketing for Heritage Marketing for a number of years.
Eileen was active in the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary and was a member of the Holy Spirit Choir for a number of years.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence (Larry) Fischer, Fargo; son, Gary Fischer, Fargo; daughter, Sandy Fischer, Fargo; son, Mark Fischer, Fargo; son, Todd Fischer, Jamestown, ND; grandson, Christopher, Moorhead, great grandson, Austin Rosenfeldt, Georgia; great granddaughter, Jalin Fischer, Moorhead and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. There will be a prayer service in Boulger Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home and one hour before the funeral in the church. Burial will be at Holy Cross North Cemetery.
