Elaine Johnson

Elaine Johnson Fargo, North Dakota Elaine passed away on Friday, December 28, 2007 at her home in Fargo at the age of 81. Elaine Matthys was born in Fargo on August 1, 1926, the daughter of Henry and Mae (Olson) Matthys. She grew up near Harwood, ND and attended a country school near Argusville, ND. She later attended Sacred Heart Academy in Fargo and Dakota Business College. Elaine Matthys was united in marriage to William Johnson in Fargo on November 19, 1944. They lived in Fargo until moving to Harwood where they lived for 27 years. They moved to Pelican Rapids, MN and lived there until their move to Fargo in 1981. William passed away in 2000. Elaine is survived by her daughter Cheyrl (Stan) Klin of Seneca, SC; her son, Darrel (Carrie) Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Shannon Klin (Ira Jacoby) of Alpharetta, GA; Rachel Johnson and Ryan Johnson both of Sioux Falls; and one great grandson, William Jacoby. She is also survived by her sisters, Phyllis (Everett) Flesburg of Argusville; and Shirley (Stanley) Eliason of Altoona, WI. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Duane Matthys.
