Eldred Eggen

Eldred M. Eggen, 81 of Fargo, died Thursday, December 8, 2005 in Elim Care Center, Fargo. Eldred M. Eggen was born on March 8, 1924 in Litchville, ND to Engebret and Mary (Mennis) Eggen. He grew up and graduated from high school in Litchville. After graduation he attended Valley City State College. He then served in the US Army from 1949 to 1969. During that time he was stationed in Korea, Japan and the Pentagon, where he was an instructor. After leaving the Army, he went to work for the City of Baltimore, Maryland, from which he retired after 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Eldred is survived by his special niece, Waynette ?Punk? (Mel) Salberg of Walker, MN, nephew, Roger (Susan) Eggen of Plymouth, MN, niece, Mary Ellen (Delloy) Creviston of Valley City, ND and nephew, James (Linda) Eggen of Lincoln, NE. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 1:00 pm in the Elim Care Center Chapel, Fargo.
