Melbourne Victoria AustraliaIt is with deep sadness that we heard of Tante Frieda’s passing this week combined with deep regret that I could not make one more visit to Fargo to spend a little more time with her.
She was a wonderful and loving aunt and I will treasure the memories of my visits and our many phone calls over the years. Distance was our enemy.
She will be missed by her sisters Johanna (Hanna) Lindenger (Salzburg Austria) and her children Ida (Victoria Australia) and her brother Tony Suban (Tomakin Australia) and her niece Evelyn (Evi) Davies (Philippines/Australia).

I had the pleasure of working with Frieda and It was some of the best times I’ve had.

Alexandria VAI have had the great fortune of sharing many wonderful times with Slavko and Frieda, first when I met them at church in the mid-eighties, then when I introduced them to my parents, Jovan and Beverly Brkic, then when my sister Vida, her husband Tom, and daughter Katie met them, and finally even as I moved out East, married, and had kids of my own (husband Gary, and two sons, Taylor and Evan 10 and 7).

Through these 25 years, our friendship and appreciation for Frieda grew. I have so many beautiful memories of scrumptious dinners at our house, topped off with one of Frieda’s amazing desserts and coffee. The laughter, wonderful company, and warmth was as abundant as the delicious food and drink.

Frieda was one of those beautiful, rare souls whose friendship made us feel so fortunate – every visit with them was a treat, and she had such capacity for love. We miss her but know she’s in a better place, no doubt sharing a laugh with my mom up there. Good-bye Frieda.
