My parents, George and Eleanore Mischel were so very fond of Betty who visited them often as they aged. The Lauinger family were such wonderful neighbors on 2nd Avenue in Linton and Betty, as well as her sister Virginia and brother Baldwin, bring back wonderful memories. We, the Mischels, are confident that Betty now rests in the bosom of our Lord and Savior. Our deepest condolences to the Lauinger family.

Baldy, my condolences to you and your family. I will always remember how ‘Black Beauty’ always gave this fat boy a little extra attention, when other less lovely girls would not. May the Lord make this transition for you all as serene as possible. John (JC) & Sandy DeBoer, Linton, ND

Everyone keeps saying “now Betty has her wings”! I think she has had her wings for a very long time. She was a blessing to know. I can not imagine not being able to never talk to her again. A day hardly ever went by that we didn’t call each other. We would start our conversations with “I love you” and end our conversations with “I love you.” We truley did love each other very very much. We had so much fun with our morning excersizing at the Y with the SILVER SNEEKERS. As soon as we left there we would head to the Fryn’ Pan and have the biggest breakfast we could order, cause we were so hungry from all that excersizing. ha ha!!!

My nick name for her was Bee Bop, she called me Bonita.

I would love to keep in touch with Barbie and Baldie and Grace and Jerry, so they can share some of the wonderful stories I may have missed from Bett. Please keep my phone number (701)540 1609. Lotz of LOVE, Bonnie

When I couldn’t reach Betty on her cell last night, I had a feeling that something had happened. I live in TN and was able to see Betty about a year ago. I am so glad I made the trip…. Having known Betty for over 30 years has been a blessing. She introduced me to my husband back in Slidell and she was my Maid of Honor at my wedding. I always admired her strength and vitality. She was “one tough broad”. My love and prayers go to her family and know that she will never be forgotten.
