Elizabeth Jones Lemm, 82, of Hillsboro, ND passed away after a brief illness Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo surrounded by her loving family.

Liz was born in Fargo, ND on January 1, 1932 to Marvin and Rose Lane Jones.  She graduated from Fargo Central High School, attended Jamestown College, and graduated from North Dakota Agricultural College (NDSU) with a degree in Home Economics.  She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.

Liz was united in marriage to Duane Lemm on July 1, 1952 in Fargo.  After a brief time spent in California, they made their home on the family farm near Kelso where they raised their four children.  They were married for 56 years before Duane’s death in 2009.

Liz is survived by her four children, Randy (Julie), Hillsboro; Kathryn, Jamestown; Susan, Warroad, MN; and Sharon (Jim) Hardwick, Helena, MT; granddaughters Calli, Elli, and Anna Lemm and Elizabeth Hardwick; half-sister, Cyndi Wong, Shoreview, MN; and several nieces and nephews.  Liz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, Stuart Alan Lemm, and her brother Gordon Jones.

  4. Jamestown ND
We were surprised and sorry to read of your mothers passing. We knew them as members of Good Sam camping club. Did alot of camping with them here in ND
and Az. She was such a good singer and we would try to sing at some of our camp outs. WE always wanted to stand close to her so we could stay in tune.
WE have been trying to get a hold of her for several of our get togethers but lost track of where she was. Also lost track of John and Lorraine Knecht. WE heard while back that they were in a nursing home ??? There is not many of our group left for out get togethers.
WE missed them after she wasn’t coming any more. I think the last time we saw her one of her sons pulled the camper to Valley City for her. Would like to know if some of you know where the Knechts are. Just drop us a line. Thank you , I know one of the daughters taught here at the Univercity now. WE live just across the street of the college.
