Esther Ludwig

Esther passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at the Hillsboro Medical Center Nursing Home at the age of 86. Esther Weible was born at Ross, Iowa, to Adam and Katherine (Koenig) Weible on June 2, 1917. In 1920 she moved with her family to Bohnsack Township in Traill County where she lived most of her life. She attended Bohnsack Consolidated School, graduating in 1935. She attended Mayville State Teacher?s College and later taught school. On June 23, 1939, she married Wilton Ludwig. They farmed in Bohnsack Township. He died in 1984. In 1996, Esther moved to Hillsboro where she has lived since. Esther is survived by her children, Kay (Darrell) Rotvold of Hillsboro; John "Jack" (Ros) Ludwig of Atherton, Queensland, Australia; Wilton Jr. (Heide) Ludwig of Buffalo, Minnesota; Eileen (Dennis) Klug of Frazee, Minnesota; Anne (Don) Walker of Libby, Montana; and Robert (Char) Ludwig of Hillsboro; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one brother, Harold (Jacquie) Weible. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Eddie (Isabel) Weible; and two sisters, Hilda Pratt and Mildred Wallace.
