Evangeline Presler, 75, Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, June 09, 2009 in her home.
Evangeline was born on May 24, 1934 to Paul and Dorothy (Hutman) Mayer in Streeter, ND. She attended school in Streeter and helped on the family farm. She married Raymond Presler on November 10, 1952 in Napoleon, ND. They lived in various places including: LaMoure and Jamestown and moved to Fargo, ND in 1961. She worked at the Bismarck Tavern for 30 years and retired in 1992. Vange lived with her daughter, Sue for the past 5 years while struggling with dementia. She was surrounded with love and help from her daughter, Marsha, the staff of Prairieland Home Care, and Nathan and Tara Rhinhart.
Vange enjoyed dancing—especially a polka or waltz and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Evangeline is survived by her children: Marsha Middagh (Richard) Grandin, ND, Sue Rhinhart (John) Fargo, ND, Cindy Overbo, Fargo, ND, Joyce Rudolph (Ronald) Harwood, ND, JoAnn Oien, West Fargo, ND; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; four sisters: Betty Gensburg, Bismarck, ND, Deloris Tkachenko, Packwood, WA, Donna May Weber, Bismarck, ND and Jackie (James) Ellison, Perryzilk, AR; four brothers: Donny (Joyce) Mayer, Fargo, ND, Jessie (Emily) Mayer, West Fargo, ND, Alvin Mayer, Bismarck, ND, and Paul Mayer, Fargo, ND; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; infant son, Roy Presler; and sister, Violet Frantil.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Boulger Funeral Home.
Visitation Thursday 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the Boulger Funeral Home and one hour before the funeral service.
