Evelyn Rue

Evelyn Rue, 90, Hillsboro, N.D., died Thursday December 10, 2009 in Hillsboro Medical Center Long Term Care. Evelyn Pederson the daughter of Ingwald and Lydia (Torgerson) Pederson was born May 8, 1919 at Hillsboro, ND. She grew up on the family farm 7 miles SW of Hillsboro in Bloomfield Township. She attended a country school near her home. Evelyn Pederson married Helmer Rue on December 2, 1937 at Halstad, Minnesota. The couple farmed in Bloomfield Township. After her husband Helmer death in 1991, Evleyn continued tolive on the family farm until moving to Hillsboro in 1997. She lived in the Kiwanis apartments for many years before entering the Hillsboro Long Term Care Center. She is survived by her son, Paul (Kathleen) Rue, Hillsboro, ND; a daughter, Ardith (Bob) Basques, Mesa, AZ; and sister, Frances Lambert, Victorville, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, fours sisters; Pearl, Lillian, Ruth and Florence; a brother, Julius and two infant siblings. Services: Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 3 followed by the funeral at 3:00 p.m. in the Hillsboro Medical Center Chapel.
