Jefferson City MOShe was a wonderful woman. Too much time had passed since being in touch. God’s blessing with your loss. My family’s prayers are with you all at this time of sorrow and emptiness.

Florence was always smiling and fun to talk to. We used to love going fishing with her and are sad that Esau never got to experience that. We still snuggle under the beautiful afghan she knit for us. Florence will be deeply missed!

I first met Florence in June of this year when she drove to our outdoor worship service at Hope Lutheran Church — just across the street. I was visiting with folks in their cars, and since she was elderly (I had no idea how elderly!), I brought her a cup of coffee and a donut. We spoke a couple more times before Phil & Judy contacted me about her, so it was a pleasant surprise to find out it was her when I went to visit at her apartment! What a strong, independent woman of faith — she was an inspiration to me these last few months! Priscilla Smith, Hospitality at Hope Lutheran, Fargo.

I remember Florence and Hebie when they visited in Mandan. My father, William K Engelter, George Engelter and Hilbert Engelter and his sister Jeanette Engelter Schmidt were all cousins. One boy per family. I know the adults spent great times together. My folks and George were in Fargo for Hilbert’s funeral – a sad time for Bill and George to lose their cousin. My sympathy to all the family.
