Florence Swanick Florence Abrahamson Swanick, 88, of Fargo died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Bethany Homes in Fargo. Florence was born August 15, 1920 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended St. Anthony?s Elementary in Fargo, graduating from Fargo Central High and attended Interstate Business College. Florence married Bill Swanick on May 3rd 1941. Together they spent many years in Fargo and Fort Meyers, Florida. In later years they retired to Waterford at Harwood Groves. Florence was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family and dedicated her life to providing guidance, love and most importantly her time to her husband, daughters and five beloved grandchildren. Florence is survived by her daughters, Betty A. (Ralph) Robert of Coral Springs, FL and Mary Pat (Bill) Collins of Edina, MN and Naples, FL, grandchildren, Ralph (Kathleen) Robert, St. Louis, MO, Lisa (Jose) Aponte of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Michael (Marisol) Robert of Denver, CO, W. Rob Collins, Minneapolis, MN and Travis (Gee Gee) Collins, Eagan, MN and nine great grandchildren. The members of Florence?s family wish to express their profound appreciation to the staff at Bethany and Nancy LaFrombois and her Heart 2 Heart staff, they provided a loving and supportive environment. The family wishes to thank family and friend for their prayers during this last difficult year. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer?s Association. The funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 30 at 2 pm in the Church of St. Anthony, Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass in the church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
