Frances Jalbert

Frances Jalbert Hillsboro, North Dakota Frances passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at MeritCare Palliative Care Unit in Fargo at the age of 91. Frances was born on July 30, 1918, the daughter of John and Hanna (Swenson) Ludwig, in Hillsboro. She grew up in this area and graduated from Hillsboro High School. Frances was united in marriage to Lewie Jalbert in Hillsboro on March 2, 1938. They lived on the family farm east of Grandin until moving into Grandin in 1967. Lewie passed away in 1992. Frances later moved to the Kiwanis Housing in Hillsboro where she has lived since. She was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church, the UPW, and the quilting group. Frances is survived by her sons, Russell (Geraldine) Jalbert of Grandin, ND; Bryan (Mary Ellen) Jalbert of Watertown, SD; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Denice Sloan of CA; and one brother, Douglas Ludwig of Hillsboro. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Lewie; her sons, Ronald and Lynn; her brothers, Wilton and Harley Ludwig; and her sisters, Irene Ludwig and Dorothy Skogen.
