Frank L. Dailey, 84 of Fargo, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Palliative Care Unit of MeritCare Hospital, Fargo. Frank was born on September 23, 1923 in Benton, Iowa to Roy and Gertrude (Davis) Dailey. He graduated from High School in Mount Ayr and then enlisted in the Army in March 1943 and later re-enlisted and served in the Korean War. Frank proudly served his country in combat in Normandy, France and Germany. After his discharge, he returned to Mount Ayr, Iowa and attended Creston Community College. He began working as a salesman for HJ Heinz, later Gedney Pickles, Ferguson Brokerage and other Brokerage houses. Frank and Marilyn H. Stauss were married on August 3, 1946 in Hot Sulfur Springs, Colorado. Marilyn died in 1985. He then married Janet (Lindquist) Peterson on December 23, 1989 in Thief River Falls, MN at Zion Lutheran Church. The couple made Fargo their home. Frank retired at the age of 62, he enjoyed playing golf and the couple spent the last 22 winters in Harlingen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marilyn and four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Janet of Fargo; his daughter, Loris (Lyle) Metzger of Sioux Falls, SD and their children, Lee, Kirk and Lyn; step-daughter, Cindy (Darrick) Wiskow of Thief River Falls, MN and their children, Troy and Travis; one brother, Donald (Gerri) Dailey of Mount Ayr, IA; three sisters, Margaret Rhodes of Mount Ayr, IA, Donella Reed of Mount Ayr, IA, Joan Parker of Fort Collins, CO; and his nieces and nephews. Visitation: Friday, June 27 from 5-7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Funeral Service: Saturday, June 28 at 10:00 am at Boulger Funeral Home.
