Fredarica (Rica) Rutten, 90, Horace, ND, died Friday, February 16, 2007 in her daughter?s home, Fargo.
Fredarica (Rica) Finneman was born May 10, 1916 in Anamoose, ND, the daughter of Emil and Sophie (Kegel) Finneman. She grew up on a farm near there and attended a county school. She moved to St. Paul, MN at the age of 17 and worked as a housekeeper for a number of years. She moved to Fargo where she worked as a housekeeper in the area. She married Anton (Tony) Rutten on October 10, 1941 in Anamoose, ND. They farmed north of Horace and in 1947 moved to a farm near Wild Rice.
She was a member of Homemakers and the Hickson Seniors and was a 4-H leader. Rica enjoyed cooking, embroidery, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda (Dan) Bellemare, Fargo, Bonnie Rutten, Horace, ND; her son, Raymond Rutten, Fargo; five grandchildren, Duane and Gina Bellemare, Crystal (Jeff) Davenport, and Bradley and Joshua Rutten; two great grandchildren, Hailey and Syreassa.
She is preceded in death by her husband on August 24, 2002; her daughter, Margie; and nine siblings.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. – Monday, February 19, 2007 in Boulger Funeral Home
and Tuesday in the church one hour before the funeral service
