Gary Lynn Nyhof, age 61, of Fargo, ND died February 15, 2021, surrounded by his family and friends at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND. Gary was born on October 1, 1959 in Breckenridge, MN to Raymond and Frieda (Wessels) Nyhof. Gary married Kathryn Mae Nies on June 25, 1977 in Fargo, ND. They resided in West Fargo, ND for many years. Gary worked with his family business and later took over ownership of Town & Country Roll Off Service in 1983. After selling the business, Gary went on to work for Industrial Builders. He enjoyed fishing, helping friends and family with home projects, and loved being outdoors. Gary is survived by his daughter Terra Jo Nyhof, Gilbert, AZ; his son, Beau James (Jodi Vliem) Nyhof; his granddaughter, Rylee Olson; grand dogs Jack and Bailey; his siblings, Rosalee Laughlin, Fargo, ND, Gene (Joanne) Nyhof, Fargo, ND, Dennis Nyhof, Apache Junction, AZ, Beverly Breuer, Apache Junction, AZ, Arthur (Becki) Nyhof, Menomonee Falls, WI; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond, and Frieda Nyhof; brother-in-law Rodney (Rosalee) Laughlin, Fargo, ND; sister-in-law Nancy (Dennis) Nyhof, Apache Junction, AZ; brother-in-law Larry (Beverly) Breuer, Apache Junction, AZ. Special thank you to the staff of Roger Maris Cancer Center of Fargo and Essentia Health Hospital of Fargo. We would also like to thank a special family friend, Rona Sorby for caring for our father, and Joe Franklin for the spiritual guidance. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Boulger Funeral Home. Burial services will be held at a later date in the summer 2021 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fargo.

    We are sad to hear about Gary’s passing so soon and were unaware that he had been battling cancer. We send our love & sympathy to you all and will be watching the service online since we are unable to come in person, since it came up so fast and concerns about Covid.
