George Bailey

George Bailey, 90, of Fargo, died June 22, 2008 in Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo. George was born on October 26, 1917 to Julius and Mabel (Haagenson) Bailey on a farmstead near Fingal. ND. He attended school in Fingal and then began farming with his family until moving to Fargo in 1952. After moving to Fargo, he began working as Section Man first with the Milwaukee Railroad, later the Great Northern Railroad and then to the Northern Pacific and retired from Burlington Northern in 1980. He entered Rosewood on Broadway in 2004. George loved accordion music, old time country- Hank Williams, Dolly Parton and Jim Reeves. He played the harmonica, plunked along on the piano and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his sister, Evelyn Nelson of Rosewood on Broadway; and one nephew, Gary Nelson of Fargo, ND.
