Geraldine "Jenny" E. Christensen, 63, passed away on October 20th, 2015 at Essentia Health, Fargo, surrounded by those who love her most. Daughter of Joyce and Robert Christensen of Thief River Falls, MN; she was born August 22nd, 1952, in Fargo. The eldest of 3 sisters, she enjoyed her youth to the fullest. She married the love of her life Dan L. Beaton, of Fargo, on July 7th, 1977. She loved to travel and did so whenever she could, from Iceland to San Diego, Winnipeg to Mexico City, and all points in-between. She also dedicated time to her other joys: politics, animals, and Doctor Who. She made a career of helping those in need with such organizations as Tami's Angels. She laughed easily and gave freely. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her children Dana and Billie Cook, (Fargo); Dan Beaton, (Alexandria, VA); Saima Christensen, (Alexandria, VA); David Beaton, (Fargo); and Lydia Cowart, (Ashland City,TN); Grandchildren: Evangeline, Kathryn, Vladimir, Edgar, Oscar, Brianna, Brooklyn, Briley, Charlie, Daniel, Alma, Danny, and JD; Great Grandchildren: Shai, Lyanna and Deandre; Sisters: Marla Christensen, (Chattanooga,TN); and Kathryn Christensen, (Alexandria, VA); Nieces and Nephews: Aaron Quick, (San Diego, CA); Karsten Wahl and Annika Christensen, (Alexandria, VA); and her beloved cats Ragnar and Grey Lady; and dog Nita. Funeral Services will at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 22, 2015; Visitation One hour prior to services at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo.

  1. So sorry for your loss. She was a great woman. I have so many fond memories of her and the family from childhood through my younger adult years. I will always love your family as part of my own.

  2. Even though I didn’t know Geraldine personally, I feel like I did from all the wonderful things I’ve heard from Kate over the years. What a beautiful tribute to her generous spirit. Sending our love and sympathy!

    We are so sorry for the loss of your wife, Jenny. We extend our deepest sympathy to all of the family. You and my parents were neighbors on 5th Ave. South, when I was very young. You and my dad remained long time friends over the years. He sure appreciated having you and your mom Bessie as neighbors. Again, sorry for your loss, and God bless!
