Geraldine Hatfield Moorhead, Minnesota Geraldine “Gerry” Anne (Jeffers) Hatfield child of 4, mother of 4, grandmother of 7, soon to be great grandmother of 1 and a friend to many passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead. Gerry was born February 4th, 1935 in Mayville, ND to Wilson & Ruth (Stockmoe) Jeffers. Gerry grew up in Hillsboro, ND and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1953 where she had the honor of becoming Homecoming Queen. She graduated from Interstate Business College and later worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co, JC Penney’s and Sears. Gerry married Dale Owen Hatfield of Caledonia, ND on March 11, 1955. The couple made their home in Moorhead, Mn, where they currently reside. Gerry had many passions…1st and foremost was her family! Gerry also enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge….Gerry’s talent for cooking was well known within her family and extended family….specializing in Brownies with her main ingredient “love”. While she enjoyed bowling, she also enjoyed going dancing and going out to eat. Gerry enjoyed Baseball and was an avid Twins fan. Gerry’s faith was also very important to her. She taught Sunday school, worked at the church library and completed 7 years of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). Gerry is survived by her husband Dale, Moorhead, MN, son Scott, Moorhead, son Steven (Kathy), Moorhead, daughter Constance “Robert Quiram”, Elk River, MN, daughter-in-law Sheree “Jo” (Hatfield) Carney, Fargo, ND, grandchildren Robert (Kari) Hatfield , Jesica Hatfield, Courtney Hatfield, Jennifer Quiram, Charles Quiram, Rebecca and Treyton Hatfield, brother Galen “Buck” (Isabelle) Jeffers, Hillsboro, ND, sister Connie (Roger)Anderson, Hillsboro, ND, and many nieces & nephews. Gerry was preceded in death by her son Gregory Hatfield, her sister Marvel “Jean” (Jeffers) Sorum, and her parents Wilson & Ruth Jeffers.
