Gladys Majerus

Gladys Ann Majerus of Vergas, MN passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the age of 77. Gladys was born on December 27, 1928 in Pope County, MN to Hiram and Ella (Bang) Hawn. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1946 and resided in the Fargo-Moorhead area until moving to the farm near Vergas in 1974. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, baking, canning, hunting, playing bingo and was well known for her pickled green beans and dill pickles. Gladys was also a member of the Dent Diggers Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lloyd, Raymond, Robert and infant, James. Gladys is survived by her longtime companion, Art Nordbeck of Vergas, MN; her children, Joe (Deb) Majerus of Fordville, ND, Joanne Harris of Coon Rapids, MN, Katherine (Allen) Gross of Fargo, David (Denise) Majerus of Kathryn, ND, Becky (Gary) Williams of Colfax, ND, Bobbie Sarhegyi of Fargo, Debbie (David) Dero of Starbuck, MN, Steve (Bekki) Majerus of Fargo; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Eunice Holz of St. Peter, MN and her brother, Stanley Hawn of Glenwood, MN. Funeral Service: Wednesday, October 11 at 11:00 am in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Visitation: 1 hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
