Obituary

Harley Berge was born to Jeffrey Berge and Lori Bennett Peasley on February 14, 1980 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He attended school in Detroit Lakes and Pelican Rapids, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1998.  While Harley held a variety of jobs during and after high school, his happiest positions included driving semis. He was employed as a truck driver by Farner-Bocken since 2011 until he retired in April, 2013 due to health concerns.

Harley had a deep faith in his religion and an unshakeable love for his wife and two sons. When not working, he enjoyed playing with the boys and teaching them how to fish and work on vehicles. He was an avid motorcyclist and took great pride in his Harley Davidson bike.  Everyone who met Harley walked away with a new friend; he was a beautiful person with an even more wonderful soul. He was taken from those who loved him far too soon, but as long as they remember him and try to live the life he exemplified, he will not be forgotten.

Harley is survived by his wife, Vanessa, at home; his 2 sons,  Brandon Berge and Jeremey  Henderson; his father, Jeff Berge (Michelle) Minot, ND and his mother, Lori Peasley Bennett , Moorhead, MN; his brother, Aaron Berge, Moorhead; and grandparents, Bob and Joyce Bennett, Wendell, MN. Harley is also survived by his best friend of 25+ years, Corey Wasfaret.

I’m sending my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Harley. Harley, I can’t believe you’re gone. I don’t know what took you from us so soon but I’m deeply saddened. We all have chapters in our lives and you helped me through a tough one. I will forever remember all the great laughs we had together. I regret we didn’t keep in touch on a more regular basis. When we did run into each other it was always as though time had never passed. I have deep sorrow in my heart knowing you’ve passed. With my deepest sympathy.
Rest Easy my friend see you later!!
