Homer Berglund, 77, 1406 64th Avenue South, Fargo, died Sunday, October 19, 2003, in Innovis Health, Fargo. Homer Edward Berglund was born February 25, 1926, in Duluth, MN. He grew up in the Fargo-Moorhead area, and attended Central High School. He joined the Navy and served honorably during World War II and the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Barbara Fritz in 1953. He was a 50-year member of Electrical Union #1426, and retired from Fritz Electric. Barbara and Homer were also involved in Concessions & Food Catering. Homer was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a very caring and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather with a great sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Berglund; and sister, Carol Allen. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; children, Daniel (Patsy), Lyme, CT, Eddy (Barbara), Fargo, Jeff (Vicki), Greenville, WI, Julie (Bill) Miller, Fairbanks, Alaska, Mark, Fargo, and Jane (Craig) Croaher, East Grand Forks, MN; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Donna (Verne) Pladson, Fargo, and his best friend, Uncle Ben. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo. Visitation will be in the church Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo. Arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo
