Howard Satrom

Howard Satrom passed away today, Monday, May 22, 2006 surrounded by his family in Palliative Care at Meritcare Hospital. Howard L. Satrom was born to Johannes and Lena (Anderson) Satrom on January 17, 1918 at Galesburg, ND on the family farm in Dow?s Township. He grew up in Galesburg and attended Dow?s District # 93 school. Howard worked on the family farm for a time before attending auctioneering school in Mason City, Iowa. Howard L. Satrom and Edith Jensen were married on November 4, 1946 in Fargo. They made their home in Galesburg where Howard farmed and worked as an auctioneer. He is survived by his daughters, Connie (Donald)Moen, Pelican Rapids, MN; Pennie (Michael) Humphrey, Fargo, ND; Grandchildren, Darren Moen, Michelle Moen- Stensgard, Keely Humphrey, Detroit Lakes, MN; and Casey Humphrey, Roseville, MN; great grandchildren, Megan Moen, and Madison Moen, both of West Fargo, ND; sister, Irene Satrom, Fargo; Arnold (Bun) (Dona) Satrom, Clifford, ND. Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; sisters, Lydia Borud and Sylvia Brovick ; Brothers, Philip, Raymond, John (Jack), Palmer, Lewis, and Orville (Duke) Satrom. Step brother Ben Satrom and step sister Inga Pladson; and his grandson, Damon Moen. There will be a visitation and Celebration of Life at Riverview Place on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Elm River Lutheran Church, Galesburg, ND at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
