  7. There are a million things that come to mind when I think of Ila…. Everything from watching Judge Whapner with her to giving her heck about fumigating the whole house with Raid. There are a million great stories about her and some of the things she said still make me crack up laughing. What sticks in my mind most, however, is her open arms how she always did her best to take care of her own. Whether it be family or friends, I have never known Ila as someone who didn’t watch out for those around her.

I am really going to miss our time together Aunt Ila and I appreciate all that you have done for me.

    To the Family of Ila,
I never got to know Ila very well, but I do remember she was humorous, and fun to be around. All the laughter came from the part of the room she was in. Rest in Peace Ila!

It’s been a while since I last saw your mom, but my memories of her center around the seemingly constant flow of family and friends at the house and how she made everyone feel welcome. What a special lady – you were all blessed.

The angels are laughing hysterically…..Ila has arrived…..one of the funniest people on the planet and a huge heart that could give the angels’ lessons …
She had a home filled with love and laughter and family.
The world is in mourning today for a great Democrat has past and how we need those great Democrats with us. She gave much to the Party precinct work and helping her husband and son run for office. She worked those state conventions and always ready to help.
I can still see her standing on the playground engaging with the children with love and laughter. Those are the two words I remember when I think of Ila….love and laughter.

Though the tears of sadness never cease, I prayer for you the tears of laughter as you remember the happy times shared. God gave us memories so we might have roses in December.

God’s blessings of patience, wisdom, courage, and strength and much laughter for each new day.

Would like to be at the services but will have you in my hearts.

  12. Fargo North Dakota
In the late 1990’s or early this century, Ila asked me a question. It was, “Are you working?”, to which I replied, “Well yea, sort of.”, then she said, “Good. you can buy us lunch.”, (i.e. her and DeLaine).

I never did buy those girl’s lunch, yet responsible for providing food, for thousands of folks.
