Inez Whittemore

Inez died on August 2, 2011 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo at the age of 85.

Inez Gardner was born on May 16, 1926 in Portsmouth, VA, the daughter of Harry and Katherine (Foley) Gardner. She was raised in Norfolk, VA.  Inez was united in marriage to George B. Whittemore on June 18, 1948. They lived in many places across the United States as he was transferred with his job. She moved to Fargo in 2000, to be near her children.

Inez was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo, ND. She was also a member of Dora's Dazzling Dames Red Hats. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, going to the gym,and most of all spending time with her family. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Inez is survived by two daughters, Katherine Hoselton of Fargo, ND; and Janice Whittemore of St. Paul, MN; two sons, Gary (RaeDel) Whittemore of Puyallup, WA; Bruce (Kim) Whittemore of Minot, ND; six grandchildren, Cynthia (Kyle) Thormodson of Moorhead, MN; Scott (Becky) Hoselton of West Fargo, ND; Justin Whittemore of Bonney Lake, WA; Sara (Will) Bracking of Graham, WA; Brett Hoselton of Fargo, ND; Whitney Whittemore of Puyallup, WA; four great-grandchildren, Skieler Prouty of St. John, ND; Connor Hoselton of West Fargo, ND; Molly Thormodson of Moorhead, MN; and Micah Bracking of Graham, WA; and one sister, Catherine Smith of Chesapeake, VA.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Harry M. Gardner.
