Jackie was a wonderful person. We missed her when she left Paynesville. We serviced her scooter for her at our motorcycle shop, and I photographed her team for team pix. She was always pleasant and happy. So sad to hear she’s gone.
May the love of your family and friends heal your sorrow.

    In Memory of Jackie Parsley

The clouds have lifted and her mind is clear
Days ago, that is not how Jackie felt, I fear

Heavy with burdens and unhappy thoughts in her head
We are left with thoughts of what could I have done? what could I have said?

Sadly, our friend is gone that bright light has gone out
From the top of our lungs we would all like to shout

Come back to us, we love you, please don’t go
She’d give nod of her head and a smile and walk away slow

With that slow steady swagger our 6’3” friend had
It must have just been less good days than bad

What I’ll remember most about Jackie is her very kind heart
She was always willing to help others I knew that from the start

She was one of those people that would “give the shirt off her back”
Caring for others, for that she did not lack

We all have our memories and will cling tightly to each
Some may be of her childhood or something she did teach

Some may have worked with her or knew her from school
Basketball brought Jackie to some of us and that was pretty cool

Jackie was a Bison and will always be part of The Herd
Nothing can be said for this loss not written or spoken word

It is difficult to understand the loss of our wonderful friend
She will live forever in our hearts and that will never end

Good bye, Ninja! You were one of the best
Join lost loved ones as you are laid to rest

We won’t dwell on the departure because that does not define you
We just wish that there were more for you we could do

We will think of you always and wish you could have stayed
Your family loves you and so do all the friends that you have made

    ~Jody

I also knew Jackie from Paynesville. She was a soft-hearted person who loved the game of basketball, and like Terry Skoglund mentioned, a huge Tim McGraw fan. I was sad to hear of her passing.

I went to see “42” the other day and as I was eating my popcorn, I thought of Jackie. She never touched her popcorn during the previews. She would wait patiently, with her popcorn on her lap, for the movie to start. It wasn’t until then that she would dig into her popcorn.

She will be missed my many……… R.I.P. Jackie.

I am originally from Enderlin and played basketball against Jackie in high school. I hadn’t seen her in years but have so many great memories of her from our high school days. I remember that she was always smiling! My heartfelt condolences to the entire Parsley family. May God give you the peace that surpasses all understanding in the difficult days ahead.

I am sharing your sorrow as I fondly remember Jackie. She was an incredible person. Her kindness, soft personality and passionate concern for others will always be remembered. Even though her time was short, she touched my life and many others. R.I.P. Jackie! We will miss you! Bison forever!

Seoul South KoreaMy deepest sympathies go out to Jackie’s family. My heart was broken to hear of her passing. We shared many years together being classmates at Kindred and even college days at ND
SU. I will always remember the times we went out to sneak a chocolate shake or peanut buster parfait while she was in training for basketball. She always worked so hard to be good at whatever she did. I will always remember her smile and that twinkle in her eyes. I have a feeling that the mansion that Jesus has prepared for her has room enough for a basketball court and perhaps right now she is playing a pick up game with the basketball greats that went before her. Jackie we will miss you so and Jesus thank you for the time we had with her. God’s speed dear friend.

Norfolk NeI can still see Jackie and I teasing each other because I was short and she was, well, not so short. Boy, would we laugh and chuckle. She always had a smile on her face and thought the best of everyone. Prayers are with you!

We so enjoyed watching Jackie play for the Bison. After graduating she came to her home town part time to coach the junior high boys basketball team. She coached because she loved the kids and the game. we were so blessed to have her a part of our lives.
She will be missed by all.

Meriden CTMy thought and prayers go out to Jackie’s family. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. When I think of Jackie I will always remember her great smile and sense of humor. Also, when she decided to sport a new haircut that involved some shape designs that her girl Cydi Lauper was showcasing. May God bless each of you during this very difficult time.

Jackie was like another daughter to us here in Wright MN
. She lived at our home while teaching at CromwellWright
High school. She coached our daughter Erin very well. She was part of our extended family while she was here.
One of my favorite times was taking her with to Hawaii as a family member.
First her mother, father and now this new I just heard today. What a shock.
Please, family, now that our thoughts are with you more than you can possibly know. Bonnie and Doug Suhonen

Oh, what good times we shared! From shopping at “The Tall Girl Store” for pants for her and and the Not-So-Tall Girl stores for me to the times we just sat on the deck and drank a beer (or two) to the times she drug me along to see Tim McGraw, no matter what the circumstance, Jackie knew how to have fun. We shared many laughs during her time in Paynesville. I remember trying to help her when she got her puppy, Myron. She loved that little dog, even after he chewed up her woodwork and dug a hole in her carpet. That’s just how she was. Jackie was a friend to many and will be dearly missed. My sympathies to Jen, her family, and her many friends. May she rest in peace. God bless her memory.

We are so sad for your loss. Jackie was in our midst here in Paynesville as “Coach Parsley”. She was ever so kind and encouraging to all her basketball players which included my daughter Taylor. On and off the court she was a great role model as both an athlete and a person. Taylor just broke down and cried when she learned the world was without Coach Parsley. Our prayers and hearts are with you all.
