James E. Larson, age 85, of Fargo, North Dakota, died on October 19, 2004, in Fargo, North Dakota. Jim was born on November 3, 1918 to Henry and Pauline (Dahl) Larson in Hoople, North Dakota. Jim married Evangeline (Vangie) Posch at St. Mary?s Cathedral in Fargo, North Dakota on February 4, 1941. He was employed by George E. Haggart, Inc. in Fargo for approximately 35 years. At the time of his retirement, he was Vice President of that organization. After his retirement he was awarded honorary membership in the AGC in recognition of his many years of service to the contracting profession. Jim enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, bowling, tennis, football and baseball. Until Parkinson?s took control of his body, he enjoyed playing golf, several times a week, at the Fargo Country Club with his friends. After his retirement, Jim and Vangie spent many of their winters in Palm Springs, Naples and Arizona. He is survived by his wife of 63 years and his three children: James (Sara) Larson; Jerry (Chris) Larson; and Joan (Gerard) Koperski, all of Fargo, North Dakota, and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers and four sisters, and one grand daughter. The funeral will be held Friday, October 22, 2004 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo at 2:00p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7:00pm., Thursday, October 21, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be at the church from 6:15-8:00pm Thursday and 1 hour prior to the service. The Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo, ND Arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
