Jan Mark Quam

Jan Mark Quam, 61, Audubon, Minnesota, died at Meritcare Hospital Thursday, September 25, 2003. Mark Quam was born to H. Rolland and Jeanne Quam in Little Falls, Minnesota on October 18, 1942. He came to Moorhead, Minnesota as a young boy, attended schools in Moorhead and graduated from the Moorhead State College Campus High School in 1961. After graduation he attended Utah State University, Logan, Utah for four years before returning to this area to study at Minnesota State University, Moorhead from which he received his degree. Following his graduation Mark began working for the United State Forest Service in Idaho where he worked for two years before moving to Alaska to work for the Forest Service in the Ketchikan and Hoonah, Alaska areas. Mark worked for the Forest until 1991 when, because of his illness, he took medical leave and returned to Minnesota. He had been living in the Audubon, Minnesota area since his return. He is survived by his Brother, Ross Quam, Audubon, Minnesota Sister, Deborah Keldsen, Moorhead, Minnesota There will be a memorial service for Mark in the Boulger Funeral Home Chapel, Fargo, ND at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.
