Janet L. Gerberding, 55, Wahpeton, ND passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at her home.
Janet was born October 1, 1958 in Watertown, SD to Elmer and Lorraine (Froehler) Gerberding, the 7th of 8 children. She was born with Down Syndrome and lived at home for a short while before being placed in a home care facility. She lived in various cities throughout North Dakota and South Dakota before moving to Wahpeton in 1999. She resided at a Red River Human Services Group Home until her unexpected passing.
She is survived by her siblings; Judy Hoffman, Watertown, SD, Jeanne (Milton) Alm, Hendrum, MN, Jim (Nancy) Gerberding, Kingston, TN, Jerry (Monica) Gerberding, Moorhead, MN, Joan (Dale) Cook, Fargo, ND, Jack (Patty) Gerberding, Fargo, ND, Janette Silleck, Portland, OR and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Janet’s family would like to express their profound appreciation for the love and care that Janet received from her caregivers at the group home.
