Jerry Lee Zadow, 80, Fargo, ND died Friday, January 23, 2015 in his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Jerry, the son of Arthur and Lola Zadow as born Sept. 17, 1934 in Sidney, MT.  He grew up in Sidney and graduated from high school there. Jerry graduated from Montana State with degrees in Business and Accounting.  He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany. After his discharge, he moved to Minneapolis, MN where he worked for the Farm Hand Corp.  Jerry married Peggy L. Bergstrom in Chaska, MN on June 6, 1964. The couple moved to Bismarck, ND where Jerry began working as a bank examiner for the FDIC. He later transferred to Marshall, MN then Willmar, MN before moving to Fargo in 1981. He retired from the FDIC in 1991 after 30 years of service.

Jerry was an avid reader and also enjoyed working in his yard.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; a daughter Sabrina (Brad) Downey, Waconia, MN a sister, Bonnie Anderson, Sidney, Mt; two granddaughters, Brittany and Jessica Downey.

    So sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. So many memories come to mind when I think of working with Jerry for 6 years. As the new kid on the job and just off the farm, Jerry provided much needed (and much appreciated) guidance to me. He was a kind and caring man. I am glad we were able to stay in touch after his retirement. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to you.;

    Jerry was a wonderful neighbor. He welcomed us to Prairiewood soon after we moved in, and we bought one of our daughter’s first cars from him, a Plymouth Horizon. We’ve always appreciated having Jerry and Peggy as our neighbors, good people! Our condolences to Peggy and family.;

We are the neighbors across the street and will miss greatly what Jerry added to our neighborhood … he so loved working in the yard and stopping to chat with us and the rest of the neighborhood – he really kind of the anchor for our little neck of Prairiewood.;
