JoAnn Reger

JoAnn Reger, age 64 died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. JoAnn L. Hofsommer was born May 18, 1941 in Oakes, ND, the daughter of Edward and Lucille (Hurt) Hofsommer. The family moved to Fargo in 1949 where she grew up and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1959. JoAnn and Thomas Reger were married on September 30, 1961 in Fargo where they made their home. After raising her family, she began a career as a nursing assistant and worked in area nursing homes, retiring in 2005. JoAnn received her solo pilot?s license in the 1970s. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She taught aerobics for many years and she enjoyed gardening and bike riding. Through the years JoAnn and Tom enjoyed many different luxury and sports cars. It all started back in the 1950s when they were racing cars as founding members of the ?swanks? car club. JoAnn had recently purchased her dream car, a candy apple red Dodge Magnum SRT. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004 and her father in 1989. She is survived by her four children, Steve (Allison Bradford), Fargo, ND, James (Nancy), Fargo, ND, Elizabeth (Timothy) Olson, Horace, ND, and Chris, Fargo, ND; 11 grandchildren and a grandchild to be born soon; 1 great granddaughter; her mother, Lucille Hofsommer, Fargo, ND; brother, Gary (Jean) Hofsommer of Beaverton, OR and sister, Linda (Ward) Kuehl, Moorhead, MN. Steve and Chris are currently serving in Iraq with the US Navy Seabees. Visitation: Monday, May 1 from 5-7 pm in Golden Ridge Lutheran Church, Fargo, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Funeral: Tuesday, May 2 at 2:00 pm in Golden Ridge Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND Burial: Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo, ND Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, ND
