We were in grade school together. Our lives took us in different directions. But I never forgot that boy in gym class whom together we were learning the Walz. Sweaty palms… or perhaps they were mine. Each child should learn the Walz. Working together, checking in on each other’s positions, both together and guiding each others so not to bump into obstacles on the dance floor…. A metaphor for a life long friendship. Sorry, I didn’t check in on you sooner. … or, your sister bring you with on her many visits to our house when she visited my sister…. I pray in the world today that children/parents/grandparent would mentor those simple caring gestures.

I’ve attempted to keep in touch with your sister….. perhaps someday she will.
