John Brosell

John Brosell, age 94, Elim Care Center, formerly of Davenport, ND, died on Sunday, July 17, 2005 at MeritCare South, Fargo, ND. John Alfred Brosell was born on November 28, 1910 in Malmo, MN to Johan and Hannah Broselle, the oldest of 13 children. He married Hazel Alber on November 17, 1939 in Moorhead, MN. They farmed in the Davenport-Kindred area and retired in 1977. They lived in Kindred a few years before entering Elim Care Center in March of 2000. Hazel died on August 19, 2001. He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Joyce (Frank) Horace, ND; three brothers: Axel Broselle, San Diego, CA, Jim Broselle (Betsy) Estero, FL, Wayne Broselle (Vera) Las Cruces, NM; four sisters: Viola Maron (Oscar) McGregor, MN, Evelyn Eklund, Isle, MN, Mai Milstein, Rochester, MN, Joan Saleck, Fridley, MN; sister-in-law: Dorothy Flaa, Fargo, ND; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, Hazel, 3 brothers and 2 sisters Services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2005, 11:00 am at Davenport Lutheran Church, Davenport, ND. Visitation one hour before services at the church. Interment will be at Davenport Cemetery, rural Davenport, ND.
