K. Harriet Laidlaw died Saturday, September 16, 2006 at her home in Fargo. Kathleen Harriet Lorene Laidlaw was born September 22, 1920 to Harvey A. and Annie B. (Swenson) Laidlaw at Kindred, ND. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith at Norman Lutheran Church (rural Kindred) on October 10, 1920 and confirmed at Kindred Lutheran Church, Kindred, ND in July 1935. She was raised in Kindred and graduated from Kindred High School in 1938. After graduation she worked for a local general store until a back injury caused her to seek other avenues in 1945. For two years she attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis, graduating in 1947. For a short time she worked at a children?s home in Minneapolis and as a parish worker for Windom Lutheran Church in Windom, MN. In the fall of 1949 she moved to Fargo and worked in the field of general insurance until retirement in 1987. She was active in various ways in her church affiliations. She had been a member of Olivet Lutheran of Fargo since 1956.. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Orville. She is survived by her: Brother Harvey A. (Bertha) Laidlaw, Fargo, ND Sister Eunice Rustad, Fargo, ND Nieces and Nephews Cheryl Marvig, Moorhead Dennis Laidlaw, Dover, MA Richard Laidlaw, Moorhead, MN Scott Rustad, Fargo, ND Ross (Candi) Rustad, Red Wing, MN Mary Anne Laidlaw, Fargo, ND Robert (Michele) Laidlaw, Grand Forks, ND James (Mary Kris) Laidlaw , Bismarck, ND The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Olivet Lutheran Church, Fargo. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday in the Boulger Funeral Home and one hour before the funeral in the church. There will be a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m Monday . in the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo
